The idea about Not Only SQL is great! I've never heard that it can be interpreted this way. Well, I found a lot of books about NOSQL at rapidshare SE . After reading the book you have less questions about the usefulnes of all the applications and parameters.

"Most of the NOSQL alternatives do not provide built-in support for map/reduce, and require an external framework to handle these kind of queries." This can only create additional costs for the company since these procedures will require fetch additional time resources and therefore working hours. Why not use the common SQL platforms despite all the benefits offered by nosql alternative? Still unresolved question for me...
